Balloon rides, outdoor swimming pools, recreational lakes, campsites, beach bars and surf schools thrive when the weather is good. However, due to increasingly unpredictable seasons, this dependence on sun and heat is coming under pressure. This is a growing challenge for many seasonal recreation companies. Tourism expert Isabel Mosk joined EditieNL to discuss how companies in the recreation sector can deal with this. In the broadcast, she emphasises the importance of creativity, flexibility and resilience. ‘It’s not just a matter of waiting for good weather,’ says Isabel.

‘Companies need to think about how they can adapt or extend their offerings. Think about indoor options, temporary concepts, collaborations with other sectors or creating special experiences outside the traditional high season.’
