In LINDA: my story about traveling solo

LINDA is the magazine I always take with me when I travel ✨ It’s special to be featured in it now with my story about traveling solo.

In the summer edition of the LINDA holiday book, I explain why I sometimes consciously leave home behind and set off on my own to explore the world. Not to get away, but to get closer to things I don’t encounter so often in my daily life: unexpected perspectives, different cultures, connections outside my own bubble.

When I travel alone, I consciously choose the unknown. India, Yemen, Bhutan… places where you step out of your bubble and suddenly find yourself in the middle of someone else’s life. There, I have conversations that stay with me and see things I would never see anywhere else. It is precisely these unexpected moments that give me new perspectives and remind me how connected we all are.

Traveling solo also sharpens my focus. It teaches me to observe, adapt, and really listen. I take that curiosity with me every day in my work as a strategist, where I help destinations stay relevant in a world that is constantly changing. Not by shouting louder, but by better connecting with what really moves people.
